In Mobile Safari, which is the default browser on iOS devices, quite a bit of real estate can be recovered by automatically tucking away the navigation bar as soon as the webpage is loaded. The normal behavior is to hide itself once the user starts scrolling down the page, but sometimes you may want to use that space to display a more prominent graphic or UI elements for navigating your site.
